Another reason to target a niche market over a broad is because the people searching and viewing your advertising are a more targeted audience and you will have a higher click through rate. Even though the niche market is smaller than the broad one, you will still be more successful for the reasons stated above.

Niche marketing is sometimes advertised as a easy way to make money. It can be but there are some things to consider. If you are new to niche marketing you need to educate yourself to be successful. The internet is a vast library of information and everything you need to know can be found by doing some searching. As you are searching you no doubt will find a lot of free information and you will also run across some that you have to pay for. Many times the paid information is well worth the investment because it can save an enormous amount of time.
 

 
The internet and internet marketing is still a young market. You might think that everything has already been tried and done and the market you are interested in is already saturated. Of course you best success will come from markets with less competition, but with the millions upon millions of people online every day there still is room for you. Google adsense in huge and once set up takes care of itself. Google spells out their rules which you need to follow, but google pays consistently every month.
 
Another option to consider with affiliate programs is digital versus physical products. I had mentioned clickbank earlier and in working with them every item that you offer is a digital product. What is the difference between digital and physical products? Just as the names imply a digital product is something that can be delivered to you digitally or via the internet. It can be software, an informative report or ebook that can be received immediately upon payment. On the other had a physical product is something that you can touch and has to be delivered to you via a courier such as the post office or fed ex. Amazon offers and excellent affiliate program that offer both physical and digital products

You will need a web host to get your website on the internet. Hostgator is a good option, but there are many others. Once you have your web hosting you will need to decide on your domain name and see if its available. Your domain name should contain your main keyword. Godaddy is a good place to check on availability and to purchase, but there again are many others.
 
Decide on what type of platform you want your site to be. My preference is to use wordpress. WordPress is free and is very flexible. To use wordpress you don’t need to know any html and because of its popularity there is a huge amount of information on how to use it and get the most from it.

Here is where you will need to do some research. Google has a free online keyword tool that works very well. When you chose the niche you wanted to market, you will want to choose a main keyword and up to 10 other keywords. Discovering the best keywords is much easier using google keyword tool. What you are looking for is keywords with high search volume and low competition. Using googles keyword tool also give you a lot useful information.
 
Your next step will be to add pages or posts to your wordpress site. The both work well, but I prefer to add new content by using pages. You already know the topics of all of your new pages because of the keyword research you did earlier using google keyword research tool. Once your content is added you will want to make sure you have done proper onsite seo.

What is meant by keeping your site fresh. New unique content has to be added frequently to keep your website alive. Google is looking to promote websites that have searcher and reader appeal. In addition there are many ways to promote your website. You can submit your website to article directories and have a link back to your site and you can concentrate on getting back links pointing to your site, letting google know your site’s relevance.
